Google将Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash视频价格降至每秒0.07美元

Google推出Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash,支持15秒视频和多轮对话编辑,并将720p视频价格下调约30%。

Google lowers the cost of iterative video generation

Google released Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash with native video generation and editing up to 15 seconds. The model accepts combinations of text, images, short video references, and audio cues, then produces video with synchronized sound.

The headline commercial change is pricing. Google says 720p output costs $0.07 per second, about 30% less than Gemini Omni 1.1. The model is available through the Gemini API and Google’s business offerings, with rollout across products including Flow, Google Vids, the Gemini app, and Google Ads.

Editing becomes part of the generation loop

Omni 1.2 Flash is designed around conversational revision rather than one-shot generation. Users can ask for a change to a detail and continue from an existing clip instead of regenerating the entire sequence. Google also says the model can preserve faces, clothing, packaging text, and brand colors more consistently across camera movement and edits.

The pricing matters because video generation is often constrained by iteration cost. A creator or marketing team may need many failed drafts before approving one shot. Lower per-second pricing, shorter draft modes, and targeted edits could make model-generated footage more practical for routine advertising and product content.

Google still lists weaknesses in fast sports action, rapid script changes, and complex physics. The launch therefore improves the economics of production more clearly than it settles the quality ceiling. SynthID watermarking is also included, while speech modification remains restricted as Google studies safer deployment.

Why it matters

This release pushes generative video toward a production workflow: reference assets, editable shots, pricing for repeated attempts, and distribution through business software. Its impact will depend less on a single impressive clip than on whether teams can keep characters, products, and audio coherent over a complete campaign.

Uncle Cat take: The meaningful number is $0.07 per second: Google is attacking the revision bill that has kept AI video closer to sampling than production.
